Tile flooring offers several advantages, which make it perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and high-traffic areas. Here’s why tile flooring is perfect for Eastern Montgomery and Bucks County homeowners:
Waterproof and Moisture-Resistant
Tile flooring products do not absorb water, which is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, mudrooms and entryways. Properly installed tile with sealed grout creates a water-resistant surface that won't warp, swell or get damaged by moisture.
Extremely Durable and Long-Lasting
Tile is one of the hardest flooring surfaces available. It stands up to scratches, dents and daily wear better than most options. Quality tile professionally installed can last 20-50 years or more. It's an investment that pays off in the long run.
Easy to Clean and Maintain
Tile surfaces are easy to wipe clean without special cleaners or treatments. Spills don't stain tile the same way they can stain grout, but bear in mind that grout does require sealing. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping will keep your tile flooring looking brand new. Additionally, these floors are hygienic and don't harbor allergens, making them perfect for homes with pets.
Timeless Style and Design Versatility
Whether you prefer classic subway tile, large-format porcelain or natural stone elegance, there's an option for you.Tile works with a variety of styles, including traditional and contemporary meaning it never goes out of fashion.
Increases Home Value
With proper installation, especially in bathrooms and kitchens, tile adds significant value to your home. Buyers love the look. They also know it lasts and looks amazing for decades. Over time, it practically pays for itself.
Every tile is special in its own way. At Easton Flooring, we work with you to understand the differences so you can find a floor that works for your space, budget and design goals. We offer the following:
This traditional tile is made from clay fired at high temperature. Ceramic tile is affordable, durable and comes in many colors, sizes and finishes. It’s best used in moderate-traffic areas, walls and spaces where you want a tile look without premium pricing.
Denser and more durable than its ceramic counterpart, porcelain tile is fired at even higher temperatures, making it harder, less porous and more resistant to moisture and stains. Porcelain can stand up to heavy traffic, commercial use and can even be used outdoors.
Marble, slate, travertine, granite, limestone, you name it and we got it. You can’t replicate its unique, organic beauty. Every tile is one of a kind with its natural variations in color and texture. Stone tile adds a touch of luxury and timeless elegance to any space and you can easily seal it to protect against stains and moisture, but it’s hard to match the visual impact.
Tile also looks amazing on bathroom walls, shower surrounds, and kitchen backsplashes. Wall tiles are lighter than floor tiles and available in many formats, including subway tile, decorative mosaics and accent borders. They don’t need the same durability rating as floor tiles since they don’t bear weight or foot traffic.
Tile installation isn’t a DIY project and cheap contractors cut corners. Proper tile installation requires waterproofing in wet areas, level subfloors and correct thinset application. Precise layout planning and professional grouting. Skip these steps and your tile can crack, shift or develop grout problems within a few months.
Our tile installation services in Montgomery County, PA, cover the following:
We offer complete tile flooring installation services for kitchens and bathrooms, including proper waterproofing, membrane installation and moisture management. We understand the unique installation requirements of wet areas.
Tile backsplashes protect your walls, while creating a custom design unique to your space. Choose between classic subway tiles and modern geometric patterns, while we take care of the layout, cutting and installation so your backsplashes look amazing for decades.
We also take care of shower tile installation, including proper waterproofing, correct slope for drainage and sealed grout to prevent water from getting in. An incorrect installation can lead to leaks and molds, while when done right, it lasts over 20 years without issues.
Our flooring specialists offer professional floor tile installation for any room, including entryways, laundry rooms, mudrooms and sunrooms. We prep subfloors, plan layouts to reduce cuts and waste and install tile that stays level and crack-free.
We’ve installed tile in several homes throughout Greater Philadelphia. We know which tiles are best for wet areas, which substrates prevent cracks and the proper installation techniques that help your tile last for decades, not just years. Here’s why we’re the top choice for tile in Willow Grove, PA:
Trusted Collaborators

My experience with Easton Flooring was very positive from the first time I walked in the store to the moment the installers finished putting new carpet in. The store is clean and bright with a variety of choices. Juan was pleasant and walked us through our options, pricing, and pros/cons. Steve, who came to measure and provide additional advice, was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly (we could tell how much he cared about making sure we had what we needed). On installation day, we had an arrival window, and the team actually arrived a little early! They asked questions about preferences and did an excellent job. Their work is beautiful, but the best part was that they cleaned up every bit of mess from the job. Aside from the lovely carpet, I wouldn’t have even known they were there! 10/10 recommend Easton Flooring Inc to anyone in the area.Posted on Stan WarcholTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In a day where most businesses lack service, Easton flooring exemplifies best in class product and service. We found them on a random day searching online, went in the store so happy we went with them. Very involved in every aspect of the business and care so much about the output. We started out with just a runner and ended up using them for several more projects. You can’t go wrong here.Posted on Todd KneeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Easton Flooring is a great place to get your flooring needs. I walked in and was asked what I was looking for and directed to the section I had asked. I wasn't hassled or pressured into anything. Was given the option of taking many samples home to see what worked best. I ended up ordering an item not in their warehouse, but it was in within 1.5 weeks. I personally ended up underestimating how much I needed and asked if there was any way of getting more rushed. Amazingly they were able to get the extra shipped from Georgia with 2 days!! Awesome customer service. I can't speak for the install side of the house because I'm a DIYer, but I'm sure they'll meet your needs. Awhile ago, Easton Flooring did the LVP flooring in my kitchen & hallway. I was very pleased with the outcome. When it came time to do the living room & dining room, I went back to Easton & asked them to order the same LVP for those rooms. I told them I wouldn’t be ready to start my project for several months but I wanted to make sure the materials would be ready when I was. They said ok - they would put the LVP in their storage until I was ready. How very convenient! Today the installers came, did a great job removing the ratty old carpet, putting down luan & the LVP - AND cleaned up nicely! They moved the furniture back into the rooms & re-hooked up my cable TV. The new flooring is a perfect match to the kitchen & hallway. Thank you Juan, Steve, Dan & the terrific installers who did the installation. I couldn’t be happier!Posted on Robert BowenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Steve and Tom are great to work with. Their product selection is impressive. I’m a repeat customer of Easton for decades now. I love having a family owned and run, brick and mortar store nearby w great selections and most of all amazing service. From the owners who come to give you an estimate to the young man who works at the store to the installation team—everyone is top notch, friendly, knowledgeable, warm, professional, can’t say enough. Recently had my giant basement redone w LVP—looks amazing. The team finished it in one day. Also got a great price!Posted on Peg DiFerdinandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Do you have any Question?
While both are made from clay and fired in kilns, porcelain is fired at higher temperatures so it’s denser, harder and not as porous. Porcelain tiles are more durable and water-resistant so they are better for high-traffic areas, outdoor use and commercial applications. Meanwhile, ceramic tiles are more affordable and ideal for moderate-traffic areas and walls.
In some cases, yes. Tile can be installed over certain existing surfaces (old tile or concrete) if they’re structurally sound, level and properly prepared. Generally, old flooring has to be removed first for proper adhesion and prevent height issues with transitions. Substrate condition is more important than what’s currently there.
Regular sweeping or vacuuming removes dirt and debris. Damp mop with a pH-neutral tile cleaner as needed. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage grout. Seal grout lines annually to prevent staining and moisture infiltration. Lastly, wipe up spills promptly.
Tile flooring prices vary based on the type of tile (ceramic vs. porcelain vs. natural stone), size, finish, complexity of installation and substrate prep needs. Bathroom tile usually costs more per square foot than other rooms because of the waterproofing requirements.
